[Biojava-dev] first steps in converting to markdown

Hi Michael,
A) Yes we still will need to host some self-hosted source tarballs. However
their size is small, so it should be no problem to host them on GitHub. The
files can either be part of biojava/biojava , or part of the website
project at biojava/biojava.github.io.
B) I don't think we will need the BioJava Maven repository any more. We
have been able to push to Maven Central now for a while, and that repo only
contains things that are out-of-date.
C) About legacy content that was not part of the wiki. We can try to move
all content from the download section to an area in biojava/
biojava.github.io. Also API docs prob. should be moved there.
D) About inter-wiki links, There are a lot of legacy pages that we need to
clean up. I think a lot of content can be removed. Once we are through the
cleanup process, we will have a much cleaner and more maintainable set of
files. The inter wiki-links can prob. be fixed with some regular
expressions, that will be dependent on the organization of files in the
project.
