[Biojava-dev] SVN server

I am trying to checkout from svn://code.open-bio.org/biojava/biojava-live

and getting the error

Error: Can't find a temporary directory: Internal error
allegedly this may happen when svn has run out of quota on the server
but there seem to be more bizarre explanations according to mr google....
