[Biojava-dev] JVM level for BioJava - should we migrate to 1.4 as our base JVM?

It appears that all the platforms I am aware of (MS, Linux, Irix, OS X, 
Tru64) have now got 1.4 releases.

Our existing codebase is split across Java-1.3 and 1.4 with some features 
compiled only on 1.4.

Would it be feasible to reunify our codebase? More specifically, is there 
any reason that we are aware of why we should NOT put the 1.4 as the base 
JVM for BioJava 1.3 and later?
