Good news: The EMBL Biocorba-0.2.0 CORBA server is up and running.
Bad news: A database server upon which it is dependant has failed over the
Bank Holiday weekend (so you'll get connection errors). We're
investigating currently...
Regarding the persistence of the IOR: The IOR itself is persistent across
multiple re-starts of the server. The location of the URL is also
persistent, and is where we keep a multitude of IORs.
I'd recommend using the URL in any hard-coded clients, rather than
distributing the IOR itself.
