A simple question

Hi!
perhaps it is a offtopic question but.. I need help...

One friend needs a simple program to run in Linux. She have to edit lots
of sequences and, in windows, She is using BioEdit. I ask her to change
to Linux but.. She needs this program!

Who can tell me about a program BioEdit like for Linux?
