funny -- you were the one who once told me how functional programming
languages were good for parallelisation!
It's easy enough in principle(?) -- the DP algorithm can be written as a
mathematical function which makes the parallel nature of the beast
clear...
I think that a lot of work that has been done on microcode generation
applies to functional programming languages.
I actually think all this is beyond our design goals, and probably won't
end up being of direct use; but for me it would be interesting to know
anyway.
We have more pressing concerns though (like writing a poster abstract).
What else should we put in it? Shall we do it on Wiki?
