Dear all,
We are pleased to announce our upcoming online course “Advanced Python for Data Science and Bioinformatics”, taking place from March 23–26.
Course website: [ https://www.physalia-courses.org/courses-workshops/advanced-python/ ]( https://www.physalia-courses.org/courses-workshops/advanced-python/ )
This four-day course is designed for biologists and life scientists with basic Python knowledge who wish to further develop their skills in data science and bioinformatics. Through a combination of lectures and hands-on sessions, participants will learn how to efficiently work with biological data using Python.
During the course, you will:
• Improve your Python coding skills, including writing efficient and well-structured code
• Work with biological data formats (e.g. FASTA, GenBank) using BioPython
• Perform data wrangling and analysis with Pandas
• Create clear and informative visualizations using matplotlib and seaborn
• Gain an introduction to machine learning concepts and common algorithms
• Build a complete data analysis workflow, from raw data processing to model evaluation and interpretation
Sessions will run daily from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM (Berlin time) and will be fully online to encourage international participation.
If you are interested in strengthening your Python and data science skills for bioinformatics, we would be delighted to have you join us.
Best regards,
Carlo
