Again, thank you for the kind answer! I had in fact read about the urllib module and that was how I "discovered" that I could configure the proxy "by hand". If I set it automatically at the IE, or firefox, it won't work on Python, but it will on the browser. As for the http_proxy env variable, how do I set them?
