Sounds like this would be a perfect opportunity for you.  You'd get to
learn some CORBA stuff, while making a valuable contribution to biopython.

As I warned Ewan, there's nothing in the CVS tree currently to support the
IDL.  There are ideas lurking in the mailing list archives, though.

Yep.  The anonymous CVS server should be available *real soon* now.  I'll
send a message on this list when it's up.
