Hi Maximilian,

First of all, have a look here: http://biopython.org/wiki/Contributing

Then, my suggestion to start contributing (and get familiar with the code)
is, in the absence of a specific need or idea, going through the issues on
our github repository (https://github.com/biopython/biopython/issues) and
pick something that you think you can tackle.
