Yes, excel seems to be the culprit here. The genepop file of the
person was generated with genalex (
http://www.anu.edu.au/BoZo/GenAlEx/ ). It seems to generate CR
terminated files. Old Macs also were CR end-of-line. But the new ones
are LF only as per the BSD base of Mac OS X.
