Could you try out the Bio/Seq.py revision 1.35 from CVS in which the Seq object
now has a find() method which acts like that of a python string (plus strip and
split - see Bug 2596).
Comments/revisions/improvments/objections here or on the mailing list please.
We can also discuss additional behaviour, either as additional Seq methods
(e.g. search? finditer?) or perhaps via additional arguments to find().
