Yup, I actually just checked in other C++ code (for Affymetrix --
from Harry Zuzan) so you are not the only offender :-). Seriously,
it's good to have this fixed; the real shame is that distutils deals
with it so badly.

Thanks! I made another couple of fixes -- everything works fine for
me with Python2.2 and 2.3 on FreeBSD. 

Any problems anyone can come up with are more than welcome. Glad to
be getting this sorted out.
