[Bioperl-l] bioperl-live make on Irix 6.5

Irix doesn't seem to like the Makefile that's generated. This is on a
fresh check out.

$ uname -a
IRIX64 deepskyblue 6.5 10181058 IP27
$ perl -v

This is perl, v5.6.1 built for IP27-irix

$ perl Makefile.PL 
Generated sub tests. go make show_tests to see available subtests
[...]
Checking if your kit is complete...
Looks good
Writing Makefile for Bio
$ make
couldn't load shell: Argument list too long (bu22).
*** Error code 1 (bu21)


If I do it as root, everything works.

P.S. As a normal user I can do "perl Makefile.PL; make; make test" for
bioperl-0.7.2
