Are persistence issues a problem?  I threw out a trial balloon a couple of
weeks ago about a generic database adaptor that would store bioperl
objects.  Is that useful, or is bioperl purely 'middleware'?  And are
there people on this list who would like a MySQL or Perl DBI-ish
persistence framework for their bioperl objects, even if it is outside of
bioperl itself?  Reply off-list if you like.
