[Bioperl-l] $VERSION into each file?

It's a pain to force this out to every module.  I wanted at least to have
the $Id$ line in the perl code for help debugging when someone sends us
bug reports.  I think the Bundle will make this moot - although I think
we'll get the same messages that Heikki is showing for CPAN.  Could we
at least put it in the Bio::Seq module since that has existed since the
beginning.  Do we know what the official CPAN position is here.
