The latest release of BioPerl, 0.6.1, is out, and
available via ftp at:

    ftp://bio.perl.org/pub/DIST/bioperl-0.6.1.tar.gz
    ftp://bio.perl.org/pub/DIST/bioperl-0.6.1.zip

It will be also be percolating through the CPAN
netork:

    http://www.cpan.org

This is mainly a bug fix release, and affects the
following packages:

Bio::SeqIO
    Improvements in the SeqIO handling of EMBL
    and GenBank files have been made. The
    GenBank parsing in particular had some
    serious bugs. Feature tables and their
    location lines are now dealt with more
    completely.

Bio::Species
    A sub_species method has been added.

Bio::Index
    A few bug fixes.

Bio::Tools::Blast
    Webblast will now work. Other fixes.

Many thanks to everyone who posted bugs on the
web site.
