[Biojava-l] Naming BoF at BOSC'01

Announcing a "Naming BoF" at BOSC to talk about (and hopefully define!)

  - names for various bioinformatics resources.  This means a standard
     way to describe things like a database record or a file format.

  - cross-platfom API for name resolution.  This turns the name
      into something useful.

I'll be setting up a mailing list for this topic.  I'll re-spam the
lists when it's ready.  For now, please direct any other questions
to me.

My hope with the Wiki and mailing lists is to have enough
planned before BOSC that things can be really productive for
the limited amount of face-to-face interactions we'll have
at BOSC.

The time and date of the BoF are not yet known.
