Hello all;
I just wanted to let you all know that I released a preliminary
version of the (bio)python bindings to the new BioCorba spec.
This release has working clients and servers in python, and
implements the Bsane, Seqcore and Collection interfaces. The full
release announcement is here for those interested:
http://www.biopython.org/pipermail/biopython/2001-September/000727.html
The libraries work with orbit-python, omniORBpy, and Fnorb, so
you've got lots of python ORB choices.
I'm very happy to test this against any server implementations in
other languages once they are ready to go, and we can work on
interoperability problems and other similar stuff.
My future plans are to try to work on the comparison IDL and on
implementing clients for the Martin's Novella stuff.
Feedback, comments, etc are appreciated as always.
Brad
