   However, we need both - the common model (likely expressed in UML) and
a CORBA model (expressed in IDL). My understanding is that the
automatic tools which could get us the IDL from the common model (or
even from a CORBA-profiled model) are not yet good and standard enough.
   I am very happy that this discussion about merging BioCorba and BSANE
is live now and I would not want to discourage people by using _only_ UML
at this stage.
   I am quite sure that if you talk in IDL Juha can summarize our
consensus in UML in the background :-)
