I would like to add alternative URLs to the Strap protein workbench, to make it more robust. Thanks Christoph From andy.jenkinson at ebi.ac.uk Wed Dec 15 14:10:38 2010 From: andy.jenkinson at ebi.ac.uk (Andy Jenkinson) Date: Wed, 15 Dec 2010 19:10:38 +0000 Subject: [DAS] Alternative URL for registry in case server down In-Reply-To: <1f770e69da606d37dae908092759ee35.squirrel@webmail.charite.de> References: <1f770e69da606d37dae908092759ee35.squirrel@webmail.charite.de> Message-ID: <9F290CE0-18A3-46AE-B650-1DDA9520F4D0@ebi.ac.uk> Hi Christoph, Hopefully Jon can get the registry up and running quickly. Unfortunately there are no mirrors, but it's probably a good idea to set up at least a mirror of the static /das/sources response in future. This would only be of benefit if your client doesn't use the registry's server-side filtering for the sources command. I will discuss it with Jon when we next meet. However, it's worth considering caching the document in client applications if possible, which would achieve the same effect and protect the client from registry downtime.
