Hi Vivek,

Are you doing any bioinformatics in your studies or work? Which general
area - for example sequences, alignments, phylogenetics, HMM, gene
expression, ... - that would be a good way to narrow your focus.

On the more technical side, do you know C or have an interest in
cross-platform development?

We (the OBF) should be making a formal announcement soon, but we
do intend to apply to be a Google Summer of Code mentoring organisation
again this year, and we should start brain-storming and discussing some
more possible project ideas on the biopython-dev mailing list.
