Wow, Thomas, that's an excellent art work ... 

Do you insist it to be vertical ? IMHO, it doesn't have to 
be; making it vertical makes the word 'biopython' less 
impressive.

I tried to rotate your desing by 90-degree left, and found
something weird: the word "biopython" seems to have 2 different
font styles: it starts with normal, and getting more and more
"italic" ... that's weird ...

IMHO, the design seems to lose some integrity with this 
inconsistancy in font style, making the impact is not that 
strong.

I'll give it a vote if the design is:

1. horizontal
2. corrected for the mixed normal-italic style

Anyway, I like it very much. Good work.
