[Biopython-dev] [Biopython] Presenter for Biopython Project Update talk at BOSC 2016?

Thanks Chris,

You've been a regular contributor since Biopython 1.61 back in 2013,
so I think that would work nicely. Just in case anyone else volunteers
later today, would you be willing to co-present?

On a practical level, we'll need the lead presenter to submit an abstract.
All the past abstracts are available via the BOSC website - in recent
years as part of a large PDF together with the talk schedule.

You can find Bow's 2014 talk and abstract on GitHub:
https://github.com/bow/talks/tree/master/2014_bosc

Joao used the sample template for the 2015 abstract:
https://github.com/JoaoRodrigues/talks/tree/master/2015_BOSC

Those were done with LaTeX, alternatively there are some basic
templates on the BOSC website - see:

http://www.open-bio.org/wiki/BOSC_Abstract_Submission

By their nature, the project update talks always try to include work done
between the abstract submission and the actual presentation (e.g. we
should release Biopython 1.67 this month - time for another email).
Assuming the talk is accepted in principle, we would be able to make
small changes (e.g. filling in a release date) as part of responding to
any reviewer queries.

Shall we continue this on the biopython-dev mailing list?

Thank you!

Peter
