Advance warning of new NCBI DTD files (see below).

While we could add them to Bio/Entrez/DTDs as usual, is the
auto-download mechanism mature enough that we could stop
bundling any NCBI DTD files?

We anticipate updating the PubMed E-Utilities DTDs for 2016 in
mid-December, approximately on December 14, 2015.



The forthcoming DTDs are now available:

Change to NLMMedlineCitationSet DTD AND PubMed XML



The DTD change for the 2016 production year is defined in the Revision
Notes section near the top of the DTD. The following describes the
substantive change to NLMMedlineCitationSet DTD and PubMed XML:



The valid value QCIM will be added to the Source attribute of the
OtherID element. The added value will indicate citations from the
Quarterly Cumulative Index Medicus.
