The sad thing is that apparently it is asking for too much to expect 
such locations to be written normalized (here, e.g., 
join(11..21,100..300,complement(150..230)), using simple algebraic 
equivalence rules - it's hard to imagine the situation where you would 
really need nested joins). Great you fixed it.
