Charles

I had a very wierd problem with the perl that's bundled with RH9. I was
trying to implment the 'mirror' package. There a method in it:

 if( /^\s*([^\s=+]+)\s*([=+])(.*)?$/ ){
           assign groups
           do other stuff
        } else {
           complain
        }

which should parse

       package=defaults

but it didn't. I posed the problem to several lists and all I ever got back
was 'works on mine'. I never did figure it out. I had to install a fresh
perl to get it to work.

Good Luck,

Mike
