Rich,

Yes, the first 2 lines are from the INSTALL document, but the subsequent
lines are not. I don't use PPM so I can't give you the exact lines but I'm
wondering if the install command has to be something like:

PPM>install bioperl-1.0.1

As indicated in the INSTALL document, please do "search *" in order to get
the exact names of the PPM files in the DIST, there should be at least 2
different files I believe, 1.0 and 1.0.1. I'd appreciate it if you could
tell us the results of the search so we can get to the bottom of this.

Brian O.

Activestate PPM File.

Hello all,

Is it possible that the ppm version of the newest (1.0.1) bioperl release is
not installed correctly on your repository.

As the following transcript illustrates, you seem to be pointing to the old
distribution of bioperl. the first two lines are directly from the INSTALL
document of the distribution.

PPM interactive shell (2.1.6) - type 'help' for available commands.
PPM> set repository Bioperl http://bioperl.org/DIST/
PPM> install bioperl
Version 1.00 of 'bioperl' is already installed.
Remove it, or use 'verify --upgrade bioperl'.
PPM>

Thanks.
Rich Meraz.
