Nah, we've had those for awhile (well, maybe not in bioperl).  What I've
really been waiting for is someone (besides us) to step up and say "Here's
a DTD that everyone can use".  Or for someone to express enough interest
to talk to me about it.  *shrug*  As soon as there's a good DTD, FASTA
will output XML natively.
