Yes, Val is right. MOWSE does do that (sequences can be in unknown
directions also and compositional info can be given.) The emowse
version also allows you to use any protein database that EMBOSS can
recognise and calculates on the fly. Should be putting in a translation
option soon. Pretty triv to do. If anyone wants a word I'm not on this
list (yet but sometime soon hopefully when my mailbox shrinks).
