Bioperl: Q: Objects in C++ or Java

An 'off topic' reply: a new software initiative called 'EMBOSS' may be of
interest to you. You can decide... it is 'C' (not C++ or Java) but it is
Gnu public license, 'open' and 'object oriented' in spirit. The URL is:
