Here is a blog entry describing how to use Expacy IDTracker to find a new id
based on old one:

Would be nice to add this  into BioPerl Bio::DB::SwissProt->get_Seq_by_id().
(Although I still do not understand why anyone would insist on using IDs rather
than accession numbers where this is done automatically.)

This would be a good novice project.
